Sutton Court

A regular client of ours, Inspired Assets, bought this existing nine-storey concrete framed building. As is commonly found in London, the building has been converted from an existing office block into a set of first-time homeowner flats. The project involved adding a two-storey extension to the top of the existing structure and overhauling the existing cladding to create individual balconies for each apartment.

Initially we undertook a detailed analysis of the building to confirm that the existing structure was adequate to support the proposed new loads. The extension involved demolishing the existing ninth floor to allow for an economical steel grill to be constructed above the slab level.
